The library's spiny leaf insect moulted (or shed its exo-skeleton) again last week for the third time. Each time it has moulted it has become noticably larger. This spiny leaf insect was given to the library in March and was approximately 4cm long - look at the size now! Jihwan was very pleased to be able to hold it.
Spiny leaf insects are a type of stick insect or phasmid found in Australia.
