NSW public schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics, delivered by approved providers wherever available.
At Ryde Public School, special religious education (SRE) and special education in ethics (SEE) is delivered on Friday 9:05-9:35am.
On enrolment parents/carers will be given the SRE and SEE participation letter (see attached note here) to complete and return. After the initial enrolment, notification of changes to a child's enrolment in SRE/SEE should be given to the school office, in writing.
The following SRE/SEE classes are offered at Ryde Public School:
· Catholic
· Anglican
· Islamic
· Ethics
Follow the links to find the curriculum each SRE/SEE group follows for various grades.
At this stage, SEE is only offered to grades 3-6 for non-SRE attendees as we have limited numbers of volunteers to run the program.
For more information, visit Religion and ethics.
During the time that SRE/SEE classes are being held, students not attending will be located in a separate space and will participate in other activities (eg. reading, drawing).
